This novel, the eighth in a popular series, tells about the wanderings of young Amos Daragon. After his descent into hell, our mask bearer slowly recovers from all the suffering he endured. While preparing to leave, he rescues a girl and falls in love with her. Aelig, the Icarian princess of a people who are half human and half bird, takes him to the town of Pegasus. Amos soon realizes that there are political problems in Pegasus. Everything is against him: the predictions of the oracle, the prophecy of the guardians of dogma, and Aelig's father. Will Amos succeed in restoring order to the town while keeping the love of his life, finding his friends again and accomplishing his mission?

This excellent book takes you into Amos Daragon's action-packed world of intrigue, and keeps you breathless right to the final page. If you like mythology, you will like the style of author Bryan Perro. He is skilled at blending myths and legends into his stories. And if you have not yet read the earlier books in the series, they are highly recommended.
