Pierrette Dubé
Place of birth: Valleyfield, Quebec
Place of residence: Saint-Lambert, Quebec
Following her studies at the University of Montreal and at McGill University,
Pierrette Dubé worked as a writer and editor for the magazine Sélection
du Reader's Digest and for Graficor, a publisher. She has also contributed
to the magazines Lurelu and CCL: Canadian Children's Literature.
Since 1990 she has been a translator with the Secretariat of State. In
addition to her professional endeavours, Pierrette Dubé is the mother
of three children. She has always enjoyed writing, and she was recently
delighted to rediscover a short poem she wrote at the age of 15. Pierrette
Dubé dreams of the day when she can write full-time for children.

- 1995 Mr. Christie's Book Award (best French book for children under
7) for Au lit, princesse Émilie!
