A young Inuk accompanies his father on a hunt by dogsled. As they travel, he learns about the tundra, how to recognize useful reference points, igloo construction and ice fishing. The story encourages children to travel in this environmentally friendly way. The illustrations accurately depict the close ties between the characters, landscape and nature, and the bitter cold of the vast northern region in Chasse en qimutsik, and the soft summer breezes of Mwakw.
